Claim application documentation review
An independent, page-by-page review of a claim application and its supporting evidence, ending in a prioritised findings memorandum.
Request a scope discussionWho this review is for
The engagement suits claims managers, brokers, legal advisers and policyholders who have assembled a substantial evidence pack but need an independent view of its completeness and internal consistency. It is particularly useful before a formal submission, after a request for further particulars, or when a file has grown across several email threads and versions.
What we examine
We build a document inventory and chronology, then compare the claim form with the policy schedule, loss description, invoices, estimates, proof of payment, photographs and relevant correspondence. Financial amounts are traced to their source documents; names, dates, addresses and incident details are checked across the pack.
You receive:
- a record of documents reviewed and versions relied upon;
- a chronology of the incident, notification and supporting events;
- a schedule of missing, contradictory or unsupported items;
- financial cross-checks of claimed amounts against invoices and estimates; and
- a findings memorandum ranked by materiality, with focused follow-up questions.
Boundaries of the work
This is a documentation and financial-record review. We do not determine policy liability, value physical damage, investigate fraud, provide legal advice or guarantee a claim outcome. Where specialist valuation, loss adjusting or legal interpretation is required, the memorandum identifies that need without attempting to replace the relevant professional.
How the engagement runs
1. Scope and secure receipt
In a 30-minute discussion we establish the claim type, decision point, volume of records and deadlines. After written scope acceptance, you provide the agreed files through a secure transfer route. Please remove unrelated personal records and never send passwords by email.
2. Inventory and reconciliation
One lead reviewer maintains the document register. We map the chronology, trace financial amounts and record discrepancies. If a critical file is unreadable or plainly absent, we raise one consolidated clarification request rather than interrupting the review repeatedly.
3. Findings and handover
The memorandum is delivered as a PDF, followed by a 45-minute call to work through priority findings. One round of factual corrections is included within five working days. New evidence or a materially expanded claim is quoted separately.
Timing and preparation
Most files up to 250 pages take five to ten working days after complete receipt. Urgent work is accepted only where reviewer capacity allows. Before handover, arrange records by source if possible, retain original filenames, and include the current claim form and policy schedule.
Fees
The work is quoted after a sample index or estimated page count is reviewed. The fee reflects record volume, number of financial schedules, file condition, claim complexity and required turnaround. See the fee guide or send a scope enquiry.
